To appease the manager of the team, whose birth place was on a small(ish) island in the Mediterranean (Cyprus) the team has hired a new youngster to keep the teams average age lower. It's been several seasons since the team began, and all the aging riders will gradually need replacing over time, and new, better riders will need to keep coming in if the team is to progress to the next Division - and stay there!
Nico Karaterpos is the new cyclist. Being the only Cypriot of worth (in fact the only one out there, and a generated rider too) he was hired late last night.
One more reason for his arrival was the disappointment of the English sprinting star Jeffrey Ree already hitting his max at 59 sprint. His technical abilities are far above that of our other team leader, Louis-Phillipe Van Kamp, but his sprinting ability lets him down. He will likely remain our back up and good lead out man.
Nico, on the other hand, has all the liklihood of becoming our new hilly leader. With a good potential in hills and a couple of averages in technique and downhilling ability, he should develop nicely above Hamlin Domachowski - another potentially good rider who hit his max far too early.
With luck, we may have found our new van Kamp. At least we hope we have.
